ÖKOBIT builds the tall digester of the biogas research plant in Bad Hersfeld

Fraunhofer/IWES Research Biogas Plant

Project: Biogas research plant Bad Hersfeld/Hesse

In 2011, commissioned by the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft and the State Office of Hesse, ÖKOBIT constructed a large-scale research biogas plant at Eichhof in Bad Hersfeld, Germany.

The particular challenge of this project was the integration of the existing biogas plant (upgraded by ÖKOBIT) as well as the integration of the existing infrastructure with a micro gas turbine and other energy generators within the scope of the research project.

Thanks to the intelligent substrate distribution and the sophisticated gas management system, ÖKOBIT has constructed a biogas plant which guarantees a stable biogas process for research projects running in parallel – the perfect basis for assured revenues.
